Long time artist, first time author.
It's taken me nine years to nurture and transform my long-simmering story concept into a novel. Here’s why.
The genesis of Matter took root in my senior year at Seattle Pacific University (B.A. ‘15), where a budding idea, I believed, promised to blossom into a captivating story. Yet, the challenge was translating this vision onto paper. After numerous attempts, I shelved the nascent concept, waiting for the right moment to bring it to life.
It took eight years, rich with life's tapestry of joy and sorrow, triumphs and setbacks, to provide the depth needed for Matter. My experiences – academic rigor during my Masters at Yale University (M.A. ‘17), organizational skills from my Project Management Professional certification (PMP ‘22), the joys of marriage, the nuances of friendships, and the lessons from homeownership and raising a puppy – all coalesced, lending authenticity to my narrative.
Matter is more than fantasy fiction; it's a tapestry woven from the threads of real life, resonating with the truths we all live. Each page is imbued with the essence of my journey, echoing the universal themes of human experience. As I invite you into this world, I hope you find a piece of your story reflected in its pages.
